Position Summary The senior embedded software engineer is responsible for designing and writing high quality code to support the development of Brady's hardware products. The senior embedded software engineer will design and implement platform level features using C+
that includes developing scripting languages and writing user facing applications that run on the embedded device. The engineer is expected to participate in the designing of solutions that meet customer needs, document the design, write clear concise code, comment code as appropriate, and create documentation outlining code functionality. All engineers are required to follow Brady's development process which includes our iterative development process. Individuals will be responsible for managing the development of large modules as part of a development team. Individuals may utilize other resources in development of technology needed for development of firmware. Position Summary The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing and writing high-quality code to support the development of Brady's software products. The Senior Software Engineer will work in a small focused team, creating interconnected mobile apps and SDKs to drive Brady's line of printing solutions. The engineer is expected to participate in the designing of solutions that meet customer needs, document the design, write clear concise code, comment code as appropriate, and create documentation outlining code functionality. All engineers are required to follow Brady's development process which includes our agile development process. Individuals will be responsible for managing the development of features as part of a development team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize object-oriented coding techniques, follow coding standards, and follow standard development best practices Manage the design and architecture of modules in the overall product Work with Brady's user experience and product management teams to define and develop features Deliver quality code by getting peer feedback through code reviews and following best practices established by the team Direct internal and external resources in software development to deliver assigned modules. Provide time estimates for assigned deliverables Setup and use software code debuggers and profiling tools Performs other tasks as required. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the duties listed on this job description Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimum of Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience Minimum of 3 years of experience Proficient with either C#, Java, Objective-C, or Swift programming languages Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Demonstrated knowledge of architecture design concepts Desired Characteristics:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience in at least one UI technology:
Xamarin or Android XML, Storyboards, SwiftUI Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, or Xcode Knowledge of threading and performance optimization Experience with different versions of Android/iOS Knowledge of .NET Core Experience with GIT source control Knowledge of CI/CD or DevOps Experience with Microsoft Azure Test Driven Development (TDD) Knowledge and experience with creating and reading UML models
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
