Permanent Part Time - 10 hours per week This position is located in Division of Reactor Projects, Projects Branch 5, Pilgrim Resident Office. The supervisor is Ray McKinley. This is a part-time, 10 hours per week position. The hours will remain at 10 hours per week. This position is in the Bargaining Unit. Travel expenses associated with the interview and/or relocation expenses associated with job offer will not be paid. U.S. Citizenship Required This is a Drug Testing position. Background investigation leading to a clearance is required for new hires. The successful candidate will perform the full range of resident office administrative duties. Duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the resident office staff in the preparation of inspection reports to include proofreading and editing reports for proper English usage, clarity, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, including assembling inspection reports in standard NRC agency format.
2. Preparing memoranda and letters, tables and spreadsheets, and protecting or handling safeguards materials. You will also be responsible for forwarding completed reports and other correspondence to the Regional office, keeping records of Resident Inspectors' activities and providing rapid response to the Regional Office regarding the location of the Resident Inspectors.
3. Preparing correspondence and reports using Microsoft software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint), facsimile machines, and different types of photocopiers. Other responsibilities will include answering the telephone and retrieving voicemail messages. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCED: To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include, but are not limited to, legal secretarial work; medical administrative work; accounts management work; insurance office administrative work; or other office/administrative work beyond receptionist duties that required data input/report generation, filing system establishment, correspondence and calendar management.

1. The ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, deal tactfully, efficiently, and professionally with all levels of personnel.
2. The ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines.
3. The ability to provide administrative support and coordination in a variety of areas, such as time and attendance, security, records management, and travel scheduling.
4. The ability to use proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures sufficient to prepare and review outgoing material for correctness, proper format, and completeness.
5. The ability to use Microsoft Office applications, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and other computer-based word processing and database applications. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
