Responsible for coordinating day to day operations of 2 busy optical shops (Boston & Metrowest). Coordinates inventory management, vendor relations, competitive pricing and profit margin maintenance activities. Daily organization of shop needs and requirements to provide outstanding customer service to OCB patients. Works together with team of opticians and front desk staff to ensure patient needs are exceeded. Maintains frequent communication with OCB billing team (monthly conference calls) to ensure proper billing procedures are being met by optical staff. Daily use of Office Mate and its reporting system to further increase efficiency in all areas of reporting. Development and training of staff on new products and procedures.

Performance Requirements:
Knowledge of the optical industry and contact lens ordering. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors, labs, patients, optometrists, optical staff, and staff members of other OCB departments. Ability to interact effectively with demanding or angry customers. Ability to keep accurate records and negotiate pricing. Ability to communicate clearly with MDs and ODs on a daily basis and meet their practice needs. Ability to represent the optical shop in a professional and pleasant manner. Supervises team of Optical Shop staff.

Education and
Experience:

High School degree/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in the optical industry, Retail shop management preferred
Licensed Optician/Apprentice Program candidate
Prior supervisory and customer service experience preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
